As a manufacturer of aircraft structural components, kits, assemblies and related tooling SFC services the global aircraft marketplace. As a result of the increasing international demand for our products SFC has been added to the Airbus Approved Supplier Listing as a manufacturer of Nacelle components. This approval provides opportunity to work with Airbus directly and their supply base in support of the various Airbus commercial programs. Special process approval by Airbus for heat treat is expected in July.
The ability to perform internal heat treat and artificial age is a critical competitive advantage for sheet metal manufacturing and represents a significant competitive advantage for SFC. The completion of our 3rd consecutive NADCAP audit with merit and distinguishes SFC as a superior process provider and is a testament to the highest level of quality product that is produce daily within SFC facility. The robust quality systems and controls that SFC has in place to maintain this status are recognized by NADCAP in this designation and result in the audit cycles being extend to an 18 month period.
SFC has added new capability to the SFC forming portfolio. The installation of 2 expander forming machines and the establishment of this work cell allows SFC to expansion form welded ring titanium and aluminum components. This dedicated work cell and the product it produces are commonly required for engine nacelle production and represent a new market that SFC supports.
In recognition of SFC’s growth and the valuable dedication and contributions that the employees that have led to this success, SFC has established and implemented 401K plan. This plan is offered to each employee regardless of job classification with time in service over 90 consecutive days. Terms of the plan include multiple investment options to suit the needs of the specific employee and include a 3% company match.
SFC receives Boeing Defense approval for the heat treat of Aluminum Alloys to the PS15500 specification.
This authorization to heat treat product to the PS15500 specification rounds out the growing list of prime customer and industry recognized approvals. With the addition of this approval SFC can heat treat product for every Boeing commercial and military programs and represents a schedule and cost reduction action for the benefit of SFC, Boeing and the customer base that we support.
